MBS PARISH: OH YES, WE "CAN" ... RECYCLE

Join our Middle School and High School teens as they lead us with their Service for Christ Recycling Campaign "Oh Yes We Can". Bring your aluminum cans to Most Blessed Sacrament to be recycled. (A RECYCLING BIN FOR CANS IS LOCATED BY THE DUMPSTER AREA OFF OF THE PARKING LOT BEHIND THE CHURCH). We "CAN" make a difference in making our Earth a cleaner place by Recycling - IN ADDITION THE RECYCLED CANS WILL HELP RAISE MONEY FOR OUR PARISH’S YOUTH MINISTRY PROGRAM. Every can recycled will help our parish ministry and help our local environment.

Teens Meet on the Third Saturdays of Every Month - October through April

10:00 a.m. - Parish Center

PARISH ANNUAL TOCA SCHOLARSHIP AWARD TO GRADUATING SENIORS

Our parish has established a Scholarship Award to any graduating high school senior who has been accepted to and is preparing to attend an institution of higher learning. The high school senior must have been active in our parish high school ministry program. The parish's Toca Scholarship Program Brochure may be downloaded here.

For further information contact either Mrs. Gretchen Eugere, High School Youth Minister, or Fr. Bruce Wilkinson, Pastor.

Our parish’s Deacon Fred & Olivia Toca Scholarship Fund has given a scholarship gift of $400.00 each to the following 2011 graduating high school seniors: Brynn Crosby, Tachelle Jackson, Tyler Roux, and Alyssa Shields. The Fund distributes scholarship gifts each year to eligible graduating high school seniors from Most Blessed Sacrament parish’s High School Youth Ministry. Congratulations Brynn, Tyler, and Alyssa!

The Sacrament of Confirmation is usually celebrated with teens beginning in the 10th grade. The preparation program is a two year long process of service, personal witness to the presence of Christ in the teen's faith journey, and study of the scriptures and teachings of the Catholic Church. A teen is expected to be involved in the parish's High School Ministry Program (or enrolled in a Catholic High School) and will chose a sponsor (mentor) to accompany them during the preparation program.
