Reflection of Life

Terry Washington, age 62, passed away at home on Wednesday, April 1, 2020. Terry was fondly known as “twin”. He was born the oldest of twins to Barbara Ann Washington and the late Richard Washington, Sr.

Terry received his elementary education from Holy Family Catholic School and later graduated from North Natchez High School. Following his graduation, he continued his passion for painting - working in the family construction business with his father and brothers.

Terry enjoyed spending time with family. He had an easy, loving spirit and a giving heart that drew people to him. He was loved by all who met him, and he touched his family and friends in different and meaningful ways.  Terry also loved his church. During his spare time, you could find him providing assistance in numerous ways at the church in Cranfield where he attended on Sundays.

Preceding Terry in death are his loving father, Richard Washington, Sr. and his brother Glen Allen Davis. Thanking God for Terry and cherishing the memory of his life is his mother, Barbara A. Washington, his daughter Cynthia Ellis and sons; Terrance Conner, Kenan Johnson; Markell Johnson and grandchildren and great-grand children and his devoted brothers Perry Washington, Richard Washington Jr, Ernest Davis and Larry Davis; and his caring and nurturing sisters Lavera Wesley, (Robert), Joyce M. Robinson and Dianne W. Holmes. He also leaves to mourn his passing, Uncle, Amos Jackson, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

Thank you, Father, for sharing Terry with us.

The family would like to extend our gratitude for the many expressions of kindness and support. We are understanding of this challenging COVID-19 time in all our lives and respectfully are honoring the social distance request. Therefore, we ask that you join us at a later date for a special memorial service to celebrate Terrys Life.

Scripture Verse: 1 Peter 1:3-5

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who in his great mercy gave us a new birth to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you who by the power of God are safeguarded through faith, to a salvation that is ready to be revealed in the final time.

Chaplet of Divine Mercy

Introduction

Sign of the Cross

In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.

Our Father

Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Hail Mary (one time)

Hail, Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed art thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb, Jesus.

Holy Mary, Mother of God, pray for us sinners, now and at the hour of our death. Amen.

Apostle’s Creed

I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
