Public Liturgies to Resume Beginning Holy Week 2021

Public Liturgies to Resume Beginning Holy Week 2021

People of God --

Given the availability of vaccines and the increasing number of adults receiving vaccines in Metro Atlanta, I am pleased to announce that we are preparing for the resumption of public liturgies at Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.

Beginning with Holy Week, a schedule of limited capacity public liturgies will be offered. Participants will be required to wear masks and maintain social distancing. Additional liturgies will be added through the Easter Season as demand is assessed. Public liturgies will be accessed through an online ticketing system (ticketing details will be announced on Wednesday, 24 March).

Please know that we will continue livestreaming 9am Sunday Eucharist. Holy Week liturgies will also be livestreamed.

Most importantly, please know that a safe and sustainable resumption of public liturgies at Most Blessed Sacrament will require the support of volunteers.

Volunteer Opportunities

Consider serving the People of God in the following capacities:

LECTOR: proclaim the word of God during liturgies.

TECH SUPPORT: manage the livestream (basic familiarity with webcams, Zoom, and YouTube).

ATTENDANT: ensure a safe and orderly experience for those attending public liturgies.

If you are interested in volunteering, please send an email to the points of contact listed above (do not reply to this email). All volunteers will receive training.
