Remembering Rowland A. Welsh
"The souls of the righteous are in the hand of God, and no torment shall touch them."
Wisdom 3:1
People of God --
Our brother in Christ, Rowland Welsh, passed away early Sunday morning on July 26, 2020.
Many in our parish know Rowland as a servant leader who exuded a life-giving faith. He and his wife Mary served the homeless for many years and led many of us to an awareness of their needs. As an usher, Rowland welcomed long-time parishioners, visitors, and newcomers alike. He never hesitated to meet the needs of others.
Rowland was a Christian care-giver. With the heart of a shepherd, he provided prayer and support for many. He even enlivened the narthex and parking lot with sports-related banter. Rowland was a pillar of Most Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. We were blessed by him and will miss him.
In the Lord,
Father Desmond Drummer
Rosary in Honor of Rowland A. Welsh
On Tuesday, July 28, we prayed a special Rosary in honor of Rowland Welsh. You are invited to return to this Rosary as you continue praying for the Welsh family.
Introduction
Sign of the Cross
In the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen.
Apostle’s Creed
I believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth, and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, suffered under Pontius Pilate, was crucified, died and was buried; he descended into hell; on the third day he rose again from the dead; he ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty; from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit, the holy catholic Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting. Amen.
Our Father
Our Father who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us, and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Conclusion
Scripture
I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, God’s dwelling is with the human race. He will dwell with them and they will be his people and God himself will always be with them as their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes, and there shall be no more death or mourning, wailing or pain, for the old order has passed away.” (Revelation 21: 3-4)
Hail, Holy Queen
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy, our life, our sweetness and our hope. To thee do we cry, poor banished children of Eve. To thee do we send up our sighs, mourning and weeping in this valley of tears. Turn then, most gracious advocate, thine eyes of mercy toward us, and after this our exile show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus. O clement, O loving, O sweet Virgin Mary.
Verse & Response
Pray for us, O holy Mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Sign of the Cross
